Assistance for travellers

Information desks are located in each terminal. APT provides tourist information desks (tel: (0)6 65951). Information kiosks with touch-screen technology and videoconferencing with an operator are situated in Terminal A (Departures and Arrivals), Terminal B (Arrivals) and Terminal C (Arrivals); the service is free of charge.

Services

Money and communications: Facilities include banks, bureaux de change, ATMs and post offices. Eating and drinking: There are several bars and restaurants at the airport. Shopping: There are duty-free and other shops, including fashion, jewellery, perfumes and traditional Italian products. Luggage: Left-luggage is available on the ground floor (International Arrivals) of Terminal C, open daily. A porter service is available, and can be reserved in advance (tel: (0)6 6595 8364 or 6595 4054). A lost property office is situated on the ground floor of the Office Tower (tel: (0)6 6595 3343). Other facilities: A first aid facility is available daily 24 hours. A chapel, a prayer room and nurseries are also available.

Car rental

Auto Europa, Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Italy by Car, Maggiore, Sixt and Targa Rent all have desks in the Domestic and International Arrivals halls.

Parking

Multi-storey car parks A-D are directly linked to the terminals via pedestrian walkways; the long-term car park on the motorway from Rome to Fiumicino is served by a shuttle bus to/from the terminals. There are limited spaces at Terminal A and B for short-stay parking.

How to get there

The GRA ring road, which skirts Rome, leads to the A12 highway direct to Fiumicino; from here, passengers should follow signposts to the airport.

Public Transport

Rail: There is a Leonardo Express train service to Rome's Termini Station (journey time: 35 minutes). Metropolitan Trains FM1 stop at local stations on the way to Tiburtina. Services also run to Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto and Orte. Road: Taxi: Taxis to the centre are readily available; passengers should only take a licensed metered taxi. Bus: Terravision Shuttle services run to Rome Termini and Tiburtina daily, with connections to the metro A line at Lepanto. COTRAL runs a night service to Rome Termini and Tiburtina daily.

Hotels

The Hilton Airport Hotel (tel: (0)6 65258) is the only hotel on the airport site; it is linked to the terminals and the airport train station by a covered overpass with travelators. Other hotels in the area include the Holiday Inn Rome Parco Dei Medici (tel: (0)6 65581) and the Sheraton Roma (tel: (0)6 54531), which is halfway between the airport and the city centre; both hotels offer a shuttle bus service to/from the airport.

Accessibility

Disabled passengers' lounges are available in all terminals. When booking a flight, passengers with disabilities are asked to specify the type of assistance needed. Parking spaces for disabled passengers are available at the long-term car park and on the first level of multi-storey car parks B and C and the fourth level of car park D.
