Casapancho

The rural holiday accommodation Casapancho is located in La Zarza, a village in the municipality of Fasnia in the south of Tenerife.

It consists of two independant apartment houses suitable for four people each, comprising one double and one twin bed room, fully equipped kitchen, living space with satellite and digital TV, dining room and bathroom. Electric heater, washing and drying machine and iron facilities are available as well. On the outside, the guests have a parking space, swimming pool with lawn for sunbathing and loungers, barbeque and pick-nick area with toiletts.

The rural property is practically situated in between the two airports on the island. The distance to Tenerife South airport Reina Sofia is about 30 km, the Tenerife North airport Los Rodeos is about 45 km away. Most international guests book a rental car on Tenerife with pick up on arrival at the airport, but you can also get rental vehicles at the ferry ports Los Cristianos or Santa Cruz. Due to the low tax rate on Canary Islands, fuel cost is very cheap and makes car hire on Tenerife affordable.

Casapancho is less than 7 kilometres away from the coast. The beaches Playa Tejita and Playa Grande - both belong to the best kitesurfing and windsurfing spots in the world -  are close to the village of El Médano, about 30 kilometres to the south along the East Coast of Tenerife.

A daytrip to the Teide National Park is a Must; take one of the hiking trails leading to Pico Viejo or climb the summit of Mount Teide. Close to Casapancho, there are a number of shorter walking tracks suitable for every age and fitness level. You can try the 14 KM long walk leading from La Zarza to Charcos del Obispo; shorter ones are Barranco de La Linde or Los Roques-Las Eras, which should take you about 2-3 hours. If you have time enough, don't miss the old towns of San Cristobal de La Laguna and La Orotava, both included in the World Heritage list.

A rental car on Tenerife is a must if you do not want to rely on public transport on the island. When you rent a car it is a lot easier visit the most interesting places on the island.
